Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail at Floors Castle

Why not make a day of it?! Enjoy the wonderful live performance, explore the Castle and Gardens, take a walk by the river and have a spot of lunch or afternoon tea in the Terrace Cafe.

The Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail provides the audience with the opportunity to enjoy Scottish music in a wide range of settings. From ceilidh dances in a village halls, concerts at historic sites to a performance in one of Scotland’s leading theatres – their fantastic performances are not to be missed and we are delighted that they will be performing here at Floors Castle.

During the performance you will hear beautifully crafted songs in both the Gaelic and Scots languages and lively folk tunes played on fiddles, accordions and other traditional musical instruments.

Fifteen outstanding young musicians from across Scotland have auditioned for a paid summer job touring on the Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail. These young people are aged between 16 and 25 and many of them are studying at some of the country’s leading music schools, including the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the University of the Highlands and Islands. This project provides a professional development opportunity and a stepping stone between studying and launching a career as a performing artist.
