We’re now open for the season!
On the 19th of April the golden gates were opened once more and we welcomed visitors from near and far on a very sunny Easter Weekend.

In recent months all of the team have been busy spring cleaning, re-stocking shelves, developing new menus and tending to the gardens and grounds in preparation for the season’s grand opening. It was wonderful to see so many visitors from near and far who came for a day out. Much fun was had during the childrens Easter storytime event, and lots of picnics were enjoyed on the freshly mowed lawns.
There are new discoveries to be made this year during your visit. From a fantastic new seasonal menu in the Terrace Cafe and locally sourced produce & giftware in the shop, to a brand new Castle quiz for children, a squirrel trail and a series of events, including an open air cinema AND The Great British Food Festival!
Spring is most definitely finally here and we are looking forward to a busy and fun season ahead. Only an hours drive from Edinburgh and Newcastle, we are in the perfect location for a memorable day out.
