Inflatable Insanity Junior FAQ's

Enter as a family, enter as a team.

Inflatable Insanity Junior is the ideal team building and family bonding experience. A challenging but 'doable' experience for children of all ages.

We have juniors participating for all types of reasons; for team building; family bonding; fundraising; birthdays; get togethers; and 'just because'.

We have been bouncing off the walls with excitement over the craziness that is coming to Floors Castle this Summer, now we are thrilled to invite you to come bounce with us at the Inflatable Insanity!

Our unique course incorporates 15 extreme inflatable obstacles that are unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.

Saturday the 21st & Sunday the 22nd of September - 2.5k & 5k sessions.

Wave Times:
10am - 2.5k - 15 obstacles
11am - 2.5k - 15 obstacles
12pm - 5k - 30 obstacles

Booking Tickets

Who needs to buy a ticket? image/svg+xml

Anyone that is participating in the event must have a valid ticket. This event is specifically for big and little kids aged from 5 – 14. Due to the nature of the event, it is essential that all children are accompanied by participating adults (with adult tickets). Please see below the ratio for children to adults required: Age 5 = 1 adult to 1 child participant Age 6 = 1 adult per 2 child participants Age 7 = 1 adult per 3 child participants Age 8-9 = 1 adult per 4 child participants Age 10 – 14 = 1 adult per 5 child participants Spectators are always free and do not need to buy a ticket to access the event, although there may be some areas where spectators are restricted from.

Inflatable Insanity entry, finishers medal, parking, emergency water from station.

What is the minimum age for participation? image/svg+xml

Participants must be a minimum age of 5 to participate in the Inflatable Insanity Junior Weekend. How do I create/enter a team? image/svg+xml

The Team Captain needs to select the ‘Create a Team’ option on the entry form and then follow the instructions on screen. Other team members can join the existing team at any time by selecting the ‘Join a Team’ option on the entry form. Team members must enter the EXACT Team Name and Team Password (if a team password was used) given to them by the Team Captain to ensure they are in the same wave. Teams must have a minimum of 2 people, there is no maximum team size.

Do I have to finish with my team? image/svg+xml

It is not a requirement to finish the course as a team. Teamwork is one of our core values, and we encourage teammates and strangers alike to work together to overcome the course.

I’d like to run on my own, is that ok? image/svg+xml

Of course, participants can run the Inflatable Insanity with other solo runners by selecting the solo option when entering. Inflatable Insanity Teams is for teams of 2 people upwards.

Is it a Race? image/svg+xml

No, it is a challenge. This is all about having fun & taking part with friends & family. Everyone goes around the course at their own pace, completing obstacles that they feel comfortable completing.

Do you do group discounts? image/svg+xml

Our prices are at the minimum level they can be. You can always be confident that everyone is paying the same price when you book, and we will never make offers for later entries. Those that choose to enter closer to the event date will always have to pay a premium for doing so. Early bird prices are available until a month before the event.

Can I cancel or change my booking? / Cancellations image/svg+xml

All Inflatable Insanity tickets are non-refundable. However, it is possible to change the date of your booking up to one week prior to the event free of charge. Booking protection is also available at checkout, and once purchased, will facilitate a refund in the event that you cannot participate. If the event is cancelled you are entitled to a full refund of the face value of the ticket.

All participants are required to sign a waiver, read our rules and terms & conditions when entering.

Can I enter on the event day? image/svg+xml

No, we do not accept entries on the event day under any circumstances. All bookings are in advance.

Safety image/svg+xml

It is participants responsibility to take care of their own safety and welfare before, during, and after the event. Accompanying adult participants are responsible for the safety and welfare of child participants in their charge.

Can I run for a charity? image/svg+xml

Yes, we would support anyone who participates and raises money for charity.

Do I get a confirmation email? image/svg+xml

Yes, you will receive a confirmation email from Race Space (our registration partner company) confirming your entry. All event info is sent via email so it’s essential you enter your email address correctly. If your email address changes, you can update this via your Race Space login. Please also keep an eye on your spam folder in case emails end up in there.

Event Day

On arrival, please make your way from the Car Park to the Registration Tent (follow signs to event) where you will then be registered and have your hand stamped before you start. You will need to show your hand stamp when you finish to receive your finishers medal.

Toilets & Changing Facilities image/svg+xml

Toilets are provided at the Courtyard Café, please look for signs or ask a member of staff. The Courtyard Café is located halfway (approximately 300 metres/330 yards) between the Event Car Park and the Inflatable Insanity Event Site, there will be a “last chance” sign on walk down to the site. There will also be food and drinks available from the Courtyard Café throughout the Event, a full Menu can be found on our website. There are no onsite changing facilities or showers, please come dressed for your run.

Food and Drinks image/svg+xml

We do not restrict the bringing of food and non-alcoholic drinks on site to our inflatable events. There will be Food and Drinks available throughout the day from our Courtyard Café ( please see website for menu), this is also where the toilets will be located. The Courtyard Café is approximately 300 metres/330 yards from the inflatable course. Our Terrace Café located at the Walled Garden will also be open (Pre-Booking is advised here)

What Should I Wear? image/svg+xml

Want to get dressed up for the run? Go for it! We would recommend light running clothing, good running shoes. A rain jacket is also a good idea if we have wet conditions on the day.

What time should we arrive? image/svg+xml

We recommend arriving at least 45 minutes before your start time, in order to get from Car Park to Inflatable site, get registered, get prepared and get ready to run.

Wave Start Times image/svg+xml

Everyone has a wave start time, and a proportion of runners are set off in each wave. Waves will start on time. Access to your wave is via your handstamp, no handstamp - no entry. Each wave will be called out 5 minutes before start time. It is a good idea to be ready to enter the wave area 10 minutes before your wave to ensure you do not miss it.

Is there parking and how much is the cost? image/svg+xml

We pride ourselves on keeping our customers costs to the absolute minimum and avoid the hidden charges that many events levy onto participants and their spectators once they have signed up. Hence we always endeavour to have parking free, or included in the ticket price that you have paid for. ALL CAR entry – will be via the North Lodge Gate entrance, post code TD5 7NX. Pick up and drop off – will be via the North Lodge Gate entrance, POST CODE TD5 7NX.

Pedestrian Entry and Exit image/svg+xml

All pedestrian entry is through the two side gates of the Main Golden Gates POST CODE TD5 7RL – The two side pedestrian gates of the Golden Gates will then remain open for people to walk back into town after the event has finished.

Do I have to complete all the obstacles? image/svg+xml

No. You should only do obstacles that you feel happy and comfortable doing. You simply walk around any obstacle you do not want to do.

Are dogs allowed at the event? image/svg+xml

Sorry, for safety reasons we do not allow dogs at our Inflatable Insanity events or courses. Guide dogs and assistance dogs are permitted for spectators.

Can I watch on the course? image/svg+xml

Spectators are always free and do not need to buy a ticket to access the event, although there may be some areas where spectators are restricted from. We encourage spectators to get out there and see their family and friends participating. Just be wary of being away from the actual course route as not to impede or interfere with participants as they make their way around the course.

Is Water Provided on Course? image/svg+xml

Yes, the course will have an emergency water station available for participants during the event.

Headphones, Phones, Electronic Devices on the course image/svg+xml

We strongly advise against taking anything electrical/electronic out with you on the course, as items can be fully submersed in water. The organisers cannot be held responsible for any loss, personal injury or damage to any participant as a result of entering or participating in this event.

What happens if I get injured? image/svg+xml

There is a full medical team on site able to deal with most simple injuries. Let an official know and we will direct you as appropriate.

Loss, Personal Injury and Damage image/svg+xml

The organisers cannot be held responsible for any loss, personal injury or damage to any participant or participant’s property as a result of entering or participating in this event.

I Am Pregnant, Can I Run? image/svg+xml

We would advise against it; however, it is your responsibility to contact a medical professional regarding this.

Can I leave my children at the event? image/svg+xml

No. Children must be supervised at all times.

Is the obstacle course suitable for those with disabilities? image/svg+xml

Unfortunately, our courses are not suitable for those with disabilities. All participants must sign a waiver form before taking part.

Are there toilets and parking for the disabled? Is it possible to bring prams, pushchairs and wheelchairs? image/svg+xml

Yes. However, please note that access to the start, finish and Inflatable Insanity Course viewing points will be on varied terrain and uneven ground. The walk down to the Inflatable event site from the Car Park is approximately 600 metres/656 yards and involves gravel tracks, a steep grass hill, and undulating terrain. Please note - ALL toilets are located at the Courtyard Café which is halfway (approximately 300 metres/330yards) between the Car Park and the Inflatable event site.

Can We Take Photos? image/svg+xml

We welcome spectators to take photos and send them to us – we will happily include suitable photos on our photo galleries alongside our professionally taken photos. It is not a good idea for participants to carry an electronic device, as you are likely to break it or get it wet. It is your own responsibility to keep this safe and undamaged. If you are taking photos for yourself, this must be for personal use (non-commercial purposes). When posting on social media please be mindful of other people’s privacy. All those that access the Inflatable Insanity event site for the purpose of visiting the event by their action provide consent for Floors Castle Enterprises to use images and video for production, advertising, exhibition, video, social and other purposes as deemed fit by Floors Castle Enterprises. Should you see any image published by us that you are not happy with, let us know and we will remove it if possible.

After the event

Finishing image/svg+xml

When you finish you will be greeted by our medal marshals, show our medal marshal your hand stamp and they will give you your well-earned medal. Please note, no handstamp, no medal.

How do I volunteer to marshal? image/svg+xml
