June’s Summer Garden Update
June in the garden!
Summer seems to be on its way with glorious sunny days in the gardens encouraging our plants to start blooming. The peonies are about to flower and it looks like we will have a fantastic display this year so it’s worth visiting over the next few weeks to see this beautiful border in full bloom.
Elsewhere the new additions to the garden are becoming established and seem to have always been there – our Fernery Shade Garden is already providing visitors with a tranquil spot to relax in and the new Kitchen Garden has given us some lovely asparagus, rhubarb and early carrots so far!
The Tapestry Garden is beginning to look it’s best and the Gardens Team are all delighted that with the help of our fabulous volunteers we have managed to get our gardens in such great shape for the summer for everyone to enjoy.
We have also focussed on planting new areas for wildlife with wild flower and bee friendly seed mixes sown earlier in the year. The sound of the birds singing and bees buzzing in the early morning and afternoon is just magical and makes the hard work in the garden so worthwhile.
We all hope to see you soon!
